The main emphasis is on local development and job creation. Since its establishment in 1992, business centre Inkubator d.o.o Sežana has been following the purpose mentioned above.
Until 2006 it offered entrepreneurs and new companies 7.000 m2 of modularly structured premises for production and services. It helped about fifty companies to start up successfully and grow. Those that "left the nest" built more than 8.000 m2 of their own business premises in micro business zone, which was built together with Municipality of Sežana and cofinancing of Phare fund.
Many companies spend their postincubation period in incubator. Because of a large number of premises the incubator could offer help and support to a greater number of entrepreneurs in the entire cycle of initial business growth from preincubation trough incubation to postincubation phase. Thus Inkubator Sežana has had the key role in promoting local economic development for a decade and a half.
In the fifteenth year of its function, Inkubator opened a new, modern, technically comprehensively equipped building Business innovation centre. It is intended for innovative companies, innovators and entrepreneurs with fresh ideas. Projects with strong market potential and high expected value added have an advantage in admission.
It also contains premises for education and specialized servises which will support innovative activities.
Together with initial premises of business incubator we offer companies almost 10.000 m2 of business areas and new services to support innovation.
